Service Software would like to announce the release of Punchlist Manager.NET™ and Inspection Manager.NET Version 4.9.2.0. This release contains several changes and improvements to our award-winning applications.

New features and Improvements:

    Added Features:
  • The costs screen has been changed to include the ability to see an estimate breakdown (this is shown right below the total estimate number which is a hyperlink). Also included in the Job/Owner cost reports is an Estimate Summary Report. The Job/Owner cost report by cost code and Job Cost Detail report by cost type now include the source of the estimate and actual cost.
    Example: The source for an estimate might be Original, or Change Order, or Supplemental. The source for actual costs might come from your accounting system.
    Improved Features:
  • Added to Vendor/Tech portal the Job/Customer address to the main browser screen to allow for easier selection of job work order by job address.
  • Job/Owner Correspondence now displays all the email addresses (if available) of all contacts (Job/Owner contacts, Additional Job/Owner contacts, and employees) assigned to a job. You can add correspondence related to these contacts and/or email to all contacts/additional job contacts/staff2 and sales manager.
    Bug Fixes:
  • When adding an Item/Work Order to an existing List/Request from Quick Add, the received date now uses the previous item received date, rather than today's date.
  • When searching Job/Owner by contact, the search was using ‘common fields’ on the Job/Owner records rather than first name or last name. It now searches the first and last name on Job/Owner contacts.

PLEASE NOTE: There were bugs reported that can be fixed by clearing your temporary internet files folder, and by applying the suggested client side changes to each workstation that will be using our .NET™ application.

You will also want to add your .NET™ site to the "Trusted Sites" Zone in internet explorer to keep some features from being blocked by a Microsoft update.

The upgrades will be completed the night of February 3, 2010 for those customers hosted at Service Software, LLC.

These are only the beginning of the enhancements and changes that will be coming in the months ahead. We use your feedback to improve upon the application you have come to know and trust for your warranty needs.
